BizCore System – GDPR Setup Guide

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) module in BizCore allows your company to comply with data privacy regulations by managing user consent, data access, portability, and deletion. Proper configuration ensures that both your contacts and leads have control over their personal data, while your company maintains compliance with legal requirements.

This guide provides a step-by-step explanation of each GDPR setting and its purpose.

Accessing GDPR Settings

1. Log in to BizCore

Use your administrator credentials to access the system.

2. Navigate to Setup

From the sidebar, click Setup.

3. Open GDPR

Under Setup, click GDPR.

You will see the following sections:

– General

– Right to Data Portability

– Right to Erasure

– Right to be Informed

 – Right of Access / Right to Rectification

– Consent


1. General Settings

Configure the core GDPR functionality and visibility.

Field Description
Enable GDPR Toggle GDPR compliance for your system. Choose Yes or No.
Show GDPR Link in Customer Area Navigation Display a GDPR link in the navigation menu for customers. Yes/No.
Show GDPR Link in Customer Area Footer Display a GDPR link in the footer of the customer portal. Yes/No.
GDPR Page Top Information Block Add introductory text or instructions for GDPR page visitors.

2. Right to Data Portability

Enable customers and leads to export their personal data in JSON format.

Contacts

Field Description
Enable contact to export data (JSON) Allow contacts to export their personal data. Yes/No.
Set On Export – Export the Following Data Define which fields or datasets will be included when contacts export their data.

Leads

Field Description
Enable leads to export data (JSON) Allow leads to export their personal data. Yes/No.
Set On Export – Export the Following Data Define which lead fields will be included in the export.

3. Right to Erasure

Configure data removal options for contacts and leads.

Contacts

Field Description
Enable contact to request data removal Allow contacts to request deletion of their data. Yes/No.
Delete related invoices/credit notes Automatically delete invoices and credit notes when a customer is removed. Yes/No.
Delete related estimates Automatically delete estimates associated with the customer. Yes/No.

Leads

Field Description
Enable lead to request data removal (via public form) Allow leads to request data deletion publicly. Yes/No.
After lead is converted to customer, delete all lead data Remove lead data after conversion to a customer. Yes/No.

4. Right to be Informed

Ensure users are aware of your Terms & Conditions and data policies.

Field Description
Enable Terms & Conditions for registration and customer portal Require customers to accept terms during registration. Yes/No.
Enable Terms & Conditions for Web-to-Lead forms Require acceptance of terms on lead submission forms. Yes/No.
Enable Terms & Conditions for Ticket Form Require acceptance of terms when submitting support tickets. Yes/No.
Show Terms & Conditions in Customer Area Footer Display a link to T&Cs in the customer portal footer. Yes/No.
Enable Terms & Conditions for Estimate Request Forms Require users to accept terms when requesting estimates. Yes/No.
Set the Terms & Conditions Enter or update the full text of your T&Cs.

5. Right of Access / Right to Rectification

Allow contacts and leads to view and update their personal data.

Contacts

Field Description
Allow primary contact to view/edit billing & shipping details Enable customers to modify their billing/shipping info. Yes/No. Note: Updates do not affect already created invoices, estimates, or credit notes.
Allow contacts to delete own files uploaded from Accounts Area Enable users to remove files they uploaded. Yes/No.

Leads

Field Description
Enable public form for leads Allow lead data entry via a public form. Yes/No.
Show lead custom fields on public form Display custom fields for leads on the public form. Yes/No.
Show lead attachments on public form & allow deletion by lead Allow leads to upload attachments and delete them later. Yes/No.

6. Consent

Manage user consent for data processing.

Field Description
Enable consent for contacts Require explicit consent from contacts. Yes/No.
Enable consent for leads Require explicit consent from leads. Yes/No.
Public Page Consent Information Block Add instructions or details about consent on public pages.
+ Purpose of Consent Click + Purpose of Consent to define each purpose for which consent is collected (e.g., marketing, account notifications).

Applying Changes

  • Review all GDPR settings carefully to match your company policies.

  • Click Save to apply changes.

  • Test GDPR functionality from the Customer Area and Public Lead Forms to ensure proper operation.
